Location
Koh Chang is one of the best national marine parks in Thailand. Its appeal lies in its ruggedness – stunning beaches, a thick jungled interior teeming with a wide variety of flora and fauna and, beautiful coral reefs.
The villa is set on the east coast of the island, this is an area of peace and tranquility. The tropical landscape allows you to escape the hussle and bussle of everyday life. This side of the island is far less commercialised than the West where most of the main, busy resorts are based. Attractions on this side include mangrove forests and several waterfalls as well as quiet, remote beaches.
This villa offers a private idealic location to have a private getway, a great holiday with friends and/or family. The private pool means there are no restrictions on when it can be used so, unlike at resorts, if you fancy an evening dip then turn on the lights and there is nothing to stop you!
When it is time to explore, there are all the usual attractions you could expect from a holiday destination such as bars, restaurants, beaches and even a 9-hole golf course. However, as this is Thailand, you could try for example, elephant trekking or Thai massage. There is much more information on the ‘Things to do’ tab regarding other activities. If you just want to switch off, stay poolside, and just soak up the peaceful venue and view you can. The villa offers you a perfect mixture of privacy and peacefulness with all other options only a short distance away so mix it up as much as you like to make it your perfect holiday with this villa as your base!
Detailed Description
The four large double bedrooms are all well appointed with excellent air-conditioning however there are also fly screens installed so if you want to enjoy the nature sea breezes you can without any insects. There are fitted wardrobes and cabinets to store all your clothes and accessories. All have polished wooden floors to add to the feeling of luxury.
Each of the rooms have their own character and special features. Facing towards the sea you have 3 sea view rooms.
The first bedroom on the right is a self contained wing with access from poolside. This room has double patio doors so you have views to the sea and to the pool. It has its own dressing room area flowing onto a luxurious wetroom with both a large bathtub and shower as well as a toilet and sink area. The room is a perfect for a romantic couple to escape, teenagers to have their own space or perhaps for grandparents to have space away from the main family.
To the left of the pool is the second bedroom there is another spacious double again with double patio doors so you have views to the sea and to the pool. It has its own dressing area flowing onto a luxurious wetroom with both a large bathtub and shower as well as a toilet and sink area. This bathroom also has a sea / garden view so you could have a bath looking out to sea if you have the provided blinds open which due to the privacy here is a possible. This room is part of the main house and is conveniently located to the only internal room in the house.
The third bedroom has a window to the side of the house and although is not en-suite it has a bathroom which can be for the sole use of this room’s occupate if you wish as all others have their own ensuite facilities. This luxurious wetroom contains toilet, sink and shower. It does also provide a useful toilet off the main lounge area. Although this room does not have any doors from it directly to the outside it makes it ideal for children perhaps and it is very closely located to the left pool side room so parents can be near to hand. There is however from the corridor outside the bedroom patio doors to the poolside which can be used if required and can be a convenient route to a bathroom when sunbathing etc.
The fourth bedroom and final bedroom is upstairs and sits with a master view on the upper floor so very private again. It has another great view of the sea and also of the whole pool area from its own raised location and private terrace, this is accessed via double patio doors. However, looking out to the front of the property you also have jungle views of the vegetation sweeping up the mountain terrain. It has its own wardrobe area flowing onto a luxurious wetroom with a shower as well as a toilet and sink area. The room is perfectly tucked away from the main body of the house and yet at the centre of it. This room also contains a desk and so is perfect if you need a base to work from whilst you are away.
The fifth bathroom is off the kitchen area and contain a toilet and sink.
The sixth bathroom is off the kitchen area and contains a basic toilet sink and shower and is accessed via another small anti-room which can be used to store all the luggage whilst you are here without it cluttering up your rooms.
All five main bathrooms are modern and elegant and feature high quality marble, glass and white suites with chrome fittings including rain shower heads.
The kitchen and dining area is a sleek, modern open plan living area at the heart of the property with smart white marble floors. This area is also air-conditioned so there is no need to get hot and bothered whilst cooking even if the oven is on.
The modern kitchen could grace any home in the west and has all the appliances you could wish for to whip up tropical banquets. A side-by-side American style fridge freezer sets the tone with built-in appliances such as the ceramic hob with extractor fan, oven and microwave adding to the modern feel. There is a toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, and a central-island food preparation area. To save you the washing up there is a full size dishwasher so you need not waste any of your precious time on the dishes.
The dining area has a formal dining table to seat up to eight and plenty of space around. Magnificent views of the garden at the front complete with water fountains and small planted ponds, and to the rear the patio, pool and the sea add atmosphere to your formal dining. Alternatively, you could dine outside on a further set (up to four). The main dining area has patio doors and windows which can be opened (with fly screens) so you can breathe in those tropical breezes as you feast in paradise.
A comfortable and modern L-shaped grey suite offer total comfort in the lounge area. Again here patio doors can be opened for the breeze to flow (fly screens installed) or you can use the air-conditioning if you wish. This a great area to relax with the paper or book. Alternatively one can catch up with international news, cartoons, TV shows or a movie by watching the large flat screen TV with local and international channels via satellite. The lounge area has the same luxurious feel as the rest of the villa with its light decor and designer feel including the same white ceramic tiles, and is the perfect place to sit and relax.
Wifi is provided which is accessible throughout the house.
Although no washing machine has been provided there is a collection/return laundry service available from here to take washing to the local laundry.
The villa also has a secure carport which can hold upto 2 cars and several mopeds/motorbikes behind a locked gate. If you need more parking there is however additional off road parking directly outside the villa.
The villa comes supplied with a cleaner who will come most days to keep the place nice and clean. There is also a pool man/gardener who comes daily (sometime twice) to tend to the potted plants and lawn etc and ensure that the pool is clean whenever you want to use it.
